This position is responsible for equipment maintenance and repair including preventative maintenance, electrical, mechanical and facilities repairs in addition to managing a clean and organized work area. The Maintenance Technician also demonstrates the ability to meet productivity demands in a fast paced, adaptive work environment.

Take part in Health and Safety investigations identified through near miss, incident and accident reporting process
Maintain housekeeping standards through returning items to designated storage locations
Primary Responsibilities
Record repairs required, parts used, and labor time in CMMS system
Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring; inspect, test, and diagnose issues with systems and components
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components
Execute preventive maintenance plans safely and efficiently
Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards
Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
Calibrate equipment to provided specifications
Support Manager with collating purchase orders and purchase requisitions as a means to order materials, parts, and supplies
Process parts and labor requests by using eForms and other company-directed software applications
Inspect and test equipment to locate damaged or worn parts and diagnose malfunctions, by referencing schematic drawings and mechanical drawings to determine required repairs
Disassemble defective devices and assemblies
Rebuild defective devices and assemblies, arrange third party to do so when applicable
Reassemble repaired devices and assemblies
Measure velocity, amperage, and voltage of units or parts to diagnose problems, using ammeters, voltmeters, watt/meters, and other testing devices
Observe gauges, dials, or other indicators to verify machine and process functionality
Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and prevent recurrence
Build, assemble, install and maintain parts, equipment and machinery as required
General
Monitor and support production core teams to maintain product quality in accordance with prescribed standards through process control and inspection
Work with Quality department to resolve areas of non-conformance and improvements to products, processes and performance and prevent the issues from re-occurring
Additional work identified as necessary for the operation of the business
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience in an industrial maintenance position or equivalence of education to be entertained in an internship role

-Able to stand for long periods of time in hot, cold, dusty and noisy conditions.
-Able to lift 50 lbs of miscellaneous items
-Able to stand and walk all day
-Able to be trained and fitted with appropriate equipment to work with equipment and chemicals (respiratory mask may require removal of facial hair)
